Begin by measuring your band size. Wrap a tape measure snugly around your ribcage directly under your breasts. Ensure that the tape measure is level all the way around and that it fits snugly but not too tightly. Round up to the nearest even number to obtain your band size.
Next, measure your bust size. Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your bust, ensuring it is level all the way around. Round this measurement up to the nearest whole number.
Subtract your band measurement from your bust measurement to determine your cup size. Each inch difference corresponds to a distinct cup size, as follows:
Straps digging into your shoulders: This can occur if the band is too loose. Try tightening the band or opting for a smaller band size. You can also explore bras with wider or padded straps to distribute the weight more evenly.
Cups that are too small: If your cups are overflowing or creating a "double boob" effect, you may require a larger cup size. Consider going up a cup size or trying a different style that accommodates your shape more effectively.
Cups that are too big: If your cups appear wrinkled or have gaps, you may need a smaller cup size. Experiment with going down a cup size or exploring alternative styles that offer enhanced support.
Band riding up: If the band rides up at the back, it may be too loose. Try tightening the band or opting for a smaller band size.
Push-up bras: Designed to enhance cleavage by lifting and pushing the breasts together, these bras generally feature smaller cups and may require a larger band size than your usual size.
Sports bras: Constructed to provide maximum support during physical activity, sports bras typically possess a tighter band and larger cups to prevent bouncing and discomfort.
Strapless bras: Engineered to remain in place without straps, strapless bras often feature a tighter band and may necessitate a larger cup size than your usual size.
Hand wash your bras: Bras should be washed by hand in cold water and hung to dry. Avoid using the dryer, as the heat can damage the elastic and shape of the bra.
Rotate your bras: Don't wear the same bra every day. Rotate your bras to allow them time to rest and regain their shape.
Store your bras properly: Avoid folding or crushing your bras. Instead, store them flat or hang them by the straps to maintain their shape.
Before we dive into sister sizes, let's briefly recap how bra sizes work. A bra size consists of a combination of two measurements: the band size and the cup size. The band size corresponds to the measurement around your ribcage just beneath your breasts, while the cup size represents the difference between your band size and the measurement around the fullest part of your bust.
Traditionally, bra sizes follow a specific sequence, such as 32A, 34B, 36C, and so on. Each increase in band size usually comes with an increase in cup size. However, this linear sizing system can limit your options when searching for a well-fitting bra.
Sister sizes are a range of bra sizes that have the same cup volume but differ in band size. In simpler terms, sister sizes are alternative sizes that can provide a similar fit even if the actual numbers differ. For example, if your usual size is 34C, your sister sizes would be 32D and 36B. These sizes maintain the same cup volume as your original size while accommodating different band sizes.
The concept of sister sizes allows for more flexibility when shopping for bras. If you find that your usual size isn't readily available or feels slightly uncomfortable, exploring sister sizes can open up a whole new world of options. It's important to note that while sister sizes have the same cup volume, the fit may still vary slightly due to differences in band length and shape.
To determine your sister sizes, you need to understand the relationship between band size and cup size. When moving to a sister size with a smaller band, you should go up one cup size to maintain the same cup volume. Conversely, if you're moving to a sister size with a larger band, you should go down one cup size.
For example, if you usually wear a 34D and want to find your sister sizes, you would go up in band size to 36C (one size larger) or down to 32DD (one size smaller). This way, you can experiment with different band sizes while ensuring that the cup volume remains consistent. To help you find a great fitting bra, we have included 8 alternative sister sizes in the chart below:
Sister sizes are a valuable tool in the world of bra fitting, providing more options and flexibility when it comes to finding the perfect fit. By understanding the relationship between band size and cup size, you can confidently explore alternative sizes and discover bras that offer superior comfort and support. So the next time you're on the hunt for a new

There are wider straps and a more durable band on these bras, in addition to a deeper cup, to ensure that your breasts are properly supported and secure. A softer and more breathable material can prevent your skin from chafing and irritating, which can help to prevent chafing and itching when wearing it.

In conclusion, it can be worthwhile to invest in a fuller bust bra of high quality if you are a woman who has a larger cup size because they can help you look and feel your best. The benefits of wearing them include improved support, increased comfort, better posture, enhanced appearance, and improved health. Finding the right bra for you is essential to ensuring that you are comfortable and you have the support you need. Silks and satins are lovely choices for special occasions, with laces and mesh being great for adding detail to sheer garments. For everyday lingerie, soft cotton blends provide optimum comfort. You should also be aware of what styles support or reduce your curves - lighter colours may draw attention to certain areas whereas darker pieces are more flattering. Take the time to gain an understanding of what suits your shape before making a purchase.
There are many different types of plus-size lingerie on the market that cater to all shapes and needs. From lightly lined t-shirt bras for everyday wear to lacy balconette bras for a special occasion. If you’re looking for something even more seductive, how about a strappy bustier? From vibrant chemises to barely-there thongs, plus-size lingerie has something for everyone. Don't forget to get sized accurately so you have the best-fitting foundation pieces.
Starting with the basics is key when it comes to finding the perfect plus-size lingerie. Look for items such as bras and briefs that fit comfortably, provide enough coverage, and are cut correctly for your body type. A great way to find a piece that feels comfortable on your skin and accentuates your curves regardless of its colour or embellishments is to try it out for yourself! Be sure to check sizing before you buy.

]]>When it comes to seducing your partner, the right lingerie makes all the difference. There is no problem with just wearing a lace bra and matching underwear and calling it good. To be truly sexy, however, you need more than just lingerie. You'll need the right outfit. It's imperative that you match your underwear with the rest of your outfit in order to get him or her interested in what's underneath. Unbuttoned shirt with bra straps peeking out? Sweetheart neckline paired with a short skirt? High heels and a silk slip dress? All of these ideas are great ways to make your partner want you so much they're willing to do whatever it takes to get you!
A piece of lace lingerie is always a good idea since it's so seductive. However, if you're looking for something more sophisticated, consider a silk piece. No matter what kind of underwear you wear, it should complement your outfit. Once you have decided on lingerie, you need to decide on shoes!
It's not as easy as it seems to choose the right heels. It's true that you can simply grab any pair of high heels from your closet, but there's more to it than that. Choosing the right pair of heels requires you to take into consideration what type of shoes make your legs look longer and sexier. In addition, you need to take into consideration what type of shoes match the overall style of your outfit.
If you are wearing a slip dress, strappy heels that wrap around your calf will make your legs appear shorter. A simple black stiletto pump or an open-toe stiletto in a contrasting colour, like red, will lengthen your legs.
Take into account your evening plans when choosing your shoes. When you're going on a date night before a steamy evening, walking around in uncomfortable heels is most likely to be exhausting and harmful to your mood. When seducing your partner at home, ensure that you can comfortably walk a few feet for that graceful hip swap that will hypnotize them.
When it comes to bras, understanding your breasts is important. Women who don't know their right size often purchase a bra that doesn't provide adequate support. But first things first: you need to understand the anatomy of your breasts so you can measure yourself correctly. Your breasts have three major parts:
Many people think measuring for a bra is about measuring themselves whilst standing. However, this method is inaccurate because women's breasts are usually uneven and not every woman's breast are perky and gravity-defying.
Breasts come in all shapes and sizes, so a woman may have one breast that is smaller than the other. That's why it's important to measure your breasts before shopping for a bra. This can be done by taking two measurements - one over each breast - measuring around the under bust and, across the fullest part of your breast (usually over the nipple).
When taking your measurements make sure you take them three times. Once where you are standing straight, bending over, and once again laying on your back. This means your bra size will accommodate the movement of your breasts to offer you the best comfort. Once you've gotten all of the measurements, find the average and look at the difference between the under bust and over nipple sizes. The bigger the difference, the bigger the cup.
Now you need to look at your breasts. Another issue with women face when finding the right bra fit, is the distance between the breasts that make up our cleavage. Some woman have breast tissue that is knitted closely together along the breast bone whilst others have wide set breasts. This is where many problems with the underwire digging up, the band not sitting flush to the skin, and not getting that long-lasting support that a bra should offer.
If you have narrow-set breasts, you'll find more comfort choosing plunge underwire bras due to the wire resting lower compared to other underwired styles. or choosing a wired bralette such as our Enchantress bralette where the wire is continuous along the under bust.
If you have a wide-set breasts, you'll find more comfort and lift with a full or balcony underwire bra as they offer a wider bridge with hide wired support for your breasts such as our Savis and Amural Bras.
Most women have their bras fitted incorrectly, which can lead to discomfort and frustration. When you measure yourself at home, it's important that you get an accurate measurement by following these guidelines:
Social media can make being a model look like a glamorous and easy job. But the reality is that it's hard work. You have to meet very strict physical criteria, you have to be photogenic, you have to be able to take direction well, and you have to be able to sell whatever it is you're selling. Oh, and you also have to deal with some pretty ugly parts of the industry, like body shaming and unrealistic expectations. It all boils down to this: if you want to become a model, you need to know the reality of what you're getting into, so do your research beyond magazines and social media.
Being a model is incredibly physically demanding. You have to be in great shape, no matter your size, and have close-to perfect skin. You have to be able to walk in heels and pose for hours on end. And you have to do all of this while looking good on camera. It's a lot to ask of someone, especially when they're just starting out making it also a mentally draining profession . You need to be able to deal with rejection, and you're going to get rejected a lot. If you have unrealistic expectations of what it means to be a model, then this career will only disappoint you.
You will have little time off and you will be working long hours. Often, you will have to travel for work and you won't get to see your family and friends as often as you'd like. Also, your schedule will be unpredictable. You may have to cancel plans at the last minute if you get a last-minute booking. Models are busy people and they don't often have time for leisure activities like watching TV or going out with friends. If you're looking to make some extra money on the side, then this is not the career for you. But, being a model can also be a very rewarding experience. You'll get to meet new people, see new places, and learn new things.
As a model, you have certain rights that must be respected by your agency, photographer, or any other individual or company you work with. These rights include the right to privacy, the right to fair pay, and the right to refuse certain types of work. Be sure to read your contract thoroughly so you understand the scope of your work and what your rights are with regards to photos and videos taken of you. If you are not comfortable with some aspect of the contract, it is perfectly acceptable to negotiate with your agent or another party.
You could be a high fashion runway model, working for the top designers in the world. Or you could be a commercial model, appearing in ads and catalogues. There are also plus-size models, petite models, and fitness models. And that's just scratching the surface. When it comes to modelling, there is no one path or right way of doing things. That said, there are some pitfalls and challenges that come with any type of modelling career.
]]>Bohemian style is a fashion style strongly related to hippie fashion, in which natural fabrics, retro patterns, neutrals and warm shades merge with 70s style accents and a flair for statement accessories.
The Bohemian style is characterised by an earthy vibe that blends simplicity with glamour. The key pieces of this style are loose-fitting dresses and tops in soft fabrics (like cotton or jersey), oversized coats and cardigans, ethnic jewellery and accessories like scarves, pouches or totes.
Bohemian fashion is all about mixing different trends together without following the established rules. It can be worn both day and night but it looks best when you combine different elements of the bohemian look in one outfit – for example a lace top with leather pants or shorts – rather than wearing everything from head to toe at once!
Retro style is a style that is consciously derivative or imitative of trends, modes, fashions, or attitudes of the recent past. It generally implies a vintage of at least fifteen or twenty years. For example, clothing from the 1980s or 1990s could be retro.
Retro style has become popular in fashion because it is an affordable way to achieve an old-school look without spending a lot of money on vintage clothing. It’s also an easy way to channel your inner style icon and wear something that you love without having to worry about whether it’s “in” right now. If you find something you like, buy it!
The most important thing is to have fun with your look and feel good about yourself. You can do that by making sure your clothes fit well and flatter your body type—and if they happen to be from another era? Even better!
Tropical fashion is all about the relaxed and flowy silhouettes, ethnic influences, and floral prints.
This style was made for the beach, but it's also perfect for summer parties. The best part? It's not just for women—men can get in on the fun too!
If you're a guy looking to bring some tropical flair into your wardrobe, try pairing some casual khaki shorts with a flowy white button down shirt and sandals. Add an ascot or a Panama hat for extra flair!
For women, the options are endless when it comes to tropical fashion. You can do anything from a simple sundress with a flower print to a full-on sarong dress. There are no rules when it comes to wearing this type of clothing—you just have to feel good in it!
If you're into fashion, chances are you've heard the word "minimalist" tossed around a lot lately. But what does it mean?
Minimalist fashion is about having a minimal amount of clothes in your wardrobe that feel right for you and bring joy. It's about simplifying your life and living with less so you can enjoy more. It's about making sure that when you look in the mirror and see your reflection, you feel happy with what you see.
It's not about wearing the same thing every day, or even every season—it's about finding what makes YOU feel good and looking forward to wearing it again and again!
Classic clothing style describes a person's personality of preference towards timeless looks, simple and elegant cuts, choice of fine natural fabrics, and matching accessories such as leather shoes and handbags.
A classic clothing style is more than just an outfit that is fashionable for the time it was created. It is a style that will never go out of style no matter how many years pass by because it is based on timeless principles that have been proven to work over the years.
An edgy style is all about combining your clothing apparel with accessories (shoe, bags, jewellery) in a way to reflect unconventional and different.
The edgy style is not only about the clothing but also accessories like jewellery and shoes. It's important to choose pieces that are not only comfortable but also go well with your look.
The edgy style will get you noticed because it's fun and different compared to other styles out there.

Whether you're looking for some new clothes or just want to know what's going on in the world of fashion, we've got you covered.
First off: what is Korean fashion? In short, it's a blend of traditional prints and colours mixed with modern fashion. Their sense of style is conservative and fun but still practical.
You'll see a lot of colours like black, red, pink, blue, green and yellow—and these colours don't need to be mixed together in order for them to look good! Many Koreans prefer wearing neutral colours like white or black because they feel those colours are more flattering on everyone's skin tone. So if you're looking for something bolder than your usual wardrobe choices but don't want anything too bright or loud, this could be perfect for you!
Fashion is about expressing yourself, and creative fashion style is where you prefer lots of details, patterns, prints and unconventional, unique, creative shapes and designs. You love to stand out from the crowd!
You want to wear something that no one else has on. You want people to notice your outfit, but not because it's tacky or over-the-top or just plain ugly—you want them to notice because they're amazed by how unique it is! You want people to think: "Wow—I've never seen anything like THAT!"
When you shop for clothes, you're looking for something that will set you apart from everyone else. Your favourite stores are ones that sell vintage clothing or handmade jewellery because those pieces are often very special in some way—they have a story behind them that makes them uniquely yours. When you find something like this, you know it's going to be part of your permanent wardrobe rotation.
A bold fashion style is often composed of vibrant colours, prints, or embroidery to display exuberance, confidence, and stylishness. To pull off a bold style, you need to be comfortable with yourself. You can't just wear something because it looks good on a model—you have to wear it because it makes you feel good too.
Bold colours like reds and blues can be worn by anyone who wants to show their personality off in a new way. If you want to go for something a little more unique, try wearing clothes with prints and embroidery!
Girly Fashion is all about a sweet flirty style that emphasises your feminine side.

Being trendy means you're always in fashion, but it's not just about that. You want to be on-trend with the times, and you want your style to reflect what's going on around you.
Trendy style is all about being one with the times. It's about knowing what is in fashion now and making sure that whatever you wear reflects that. It can also mean wearing something that is currently out of fashion—but it's a style choice that reflects who you are as an individual, rather than trying to be like everyone else.
You want to be able to express yourself through your clothing choices, and if you find yourself getting bored with your wardrobe because everything looks too much like everyone else's? Well then maybe it's time for a change!
You've probably heard of "monochrome" dressing. It's when you wear all one colour from head-to-toe. But what if you want to mix and match different tones within the same colour family? That's called tonal dressing, and it's an art in itself.
When you're mixing tonal pieces together, you're trying to create a look that has a cohesive feel overall. You don't want to end up with a bunch of mismatched colours that clash with one another—instead, you want your clothes to work together so that they feel like they go together naturally.
You can do this by using textures, patterns and solids to create a cohesive look. For example, if you have a dress made of lace but also have shoes made of leather or suede boots that are similar shades, then those textures will help keep things from feeling too mismatched.
Modernist fashion is a style that originated in the early 20th century and was popularised by Coco Chanel. It's characterised by clean lines, simple cuts, and an emphasis on form over function.
Modernist fashion can also be referred to as "smart casual," meaning not super dressy but still looking nice and presentable. It's not just the clothes that matter, either; it's how they're worn. Modernist fashion is all about attitude and confidence, so if you want to look like a modernist, you have to have it inside yourself before anyone else will see it on the outside.
There are many ways to look great and feel good in what you're wearing
Choose an outfit that reflects your personal style and preferences. Remember that choosing an outfit shouldn't be stressful; it should be enjoyable. If you don't see your style represented here, that's ok too. Try out new looks as often as you want to find something that fits you well.

]]>When looking for that perfect item for yourself, there are three crucial elements to bear in mind when selecting the right lingerie.
Before you start browsing through stores, you need to know the different types of lingerie that are readily available. "Lingerie" means undergarments or sleepwear—and usually, styles that are a little fancier than your typical, everyday essentials. There are many styles that fall under the category, here are the top most common types:
There is no such thing as one-size-fits-all in lingerie. You must purchase in accordance with your body type. If you're on the petite side, you have a variety of options, such as wearing a padded bra with some lace to give yourself a bigger look. Ruffles are another fantastic option for small ladies since they can provide the appearance of curves where you want them.
If, on the other hand, you're naturally blessed with gorgeous curves, you could choose a full-cup bra to support your bust or a high-waisted brief or thong to draw attention to your waist and silhouette.
A lovely lace bralette can offer you a playful, feminine image if you have an athletic body. Make careful to choose a V-shaped neckline to make a slender figure appear curvier. Furthermore, don't believe that you can't wear a bralette if you're plus size. They make an excellent fashion statement.
We all want to be comfortable, but we don't want to wear the same bra all the time. Sometimes we want to feel special whilst also getting proper support. As a result, we must invest in pieces that we feel comfortable wearing and that complement our unique own style. Even if you buy lingerie to surprise your man, you must first feel comfortable in it. Only until you're fully at ease in a piece of lingerie will you begin to feel confident in it.
Start with a few simple pieces, such as a couple of lovely sets and some lacy pieces in neutral colours that will look good no matter what you wear over it, if you're new to lingerie. If you already know the basics, attempt something a little more daring this time.
The Savis bra is designed for comfort while offering a bold colour to make you feel fun and flirty during your day. The padded cups lift, shape, and support your fuller bust giving you that perfect busty look. The Savis Thong has a unique blend of soft satin-feel fabric and lace to show off your beautiful figure. This thong offers no visible panty line allow you to wear this beautiful piece under any clothing.
The romantic ruby colour alongside the black Italian lace create a passionate feel to the person wearing the lingerie. The Movens Thong is made with an intricately cut clover on the front and a small seductive section of lace to bring the attention to your bountiful buttocks. The Movens bralette is made with premium black lace to offer you that sheer seductive look that you can easily accentuate with a jacket. With it’s structured cut, it will support you completely throughout your day.
]]>There is, like with anything, a formula to looking polished and put together, and it is fairly easy. It only takes a little effort, a structured coat, and a pair of sunglasses.
There are photographs and videos of polished perfection all over social media and the fashion side of the internet, and it may be overwhelming. While it may be tempting to mimic their ensembles, we want you to know that you can maintain your individual style while still appearing sophisticated by following these simple 9 steps.
Looking suitable for the day and event is part of refining your style. Those beautiful ladies you see are dressed for their life, and you should dress for yours.
Stiletto heels and clutch purses, for example, will not help you while going out for the day with your children unless you have an extra bag with a replacement pair of shoes in it.
Your favourite fashion idols may have worn high-end designer products, and you now believe you can only appear polished in the same. The truth is that great style is free. While there are many gorgeous brands out there, if you grasp the structure and combinations you can build to work with your physique, you can acquire your clothing from anyplace.
Just have a look at TikTok and Instagram, where so many stylists are creating picture-perfect ensembles from charity shops, high-street retailers, and even handmade things. The most important aspect of any outfit is to be true to yourself since confidence is the most fashionable thing a person can wear.
To craft a polished look everyday you need a set of basics that will work for you all year round and are easy to mix and match.
Layering adds a lot of depth to an outfit and makes it feel complete. This can be a shirt over a turtle-neck vest, adding an oversized cardigan to a fitted outfit, or a contrasting trench coat to be the pièce de résistance to make your casual outfit look smart. The more comfortable you become with your styling, your body, then the more you can play with layering pieces and creating bold polished looks.
The loose style comes and goes, but the simplest approach to seem more professional is to add more structure to your clothing. A decent formula to follow is a 2:1 structure to slouch ratio.
A basic ensemble may consist of black skinny jeans (structure), a trench coat (structure), and an oversized sweater (slouch). While slouch clothing is determined by what you view as slouch wear, it frequently refers to something loose fitting, such as a loose dress or an enormous jacket.
If you're stuck, consider whether you'd wear it to an office job or a job interview. If not, it most likely belongs within the slouch group.
Unless the rips are purposeful, such as those seen on jeans' knees, it's better to prevent visible evidence of wear and tear. While that old baggy jumper is comfortable and ideal for lounging around the house when you have nothing to do, it's better left at home.
However, if you want to appear professional, your clothes must be well-maintained. Part of this begins with organising your closet and thoroughly cleaning your goods.
Our objective here is to seem professional whether we are wearing a casual dress, a work uniform, or simply doing errands, and it all starts with your styling. And having a closet full of clothing to choose from will make things a lot simpler.
To do this, your closet must be orderly and supportive of your lifestyle. You probably already have a few go-to clothes that work for you, so take a short photo of yourself wearing them and store it in an album on your phone labelled "outfits I adore.".
Your clothing must fit you in order to appear sophisticated! And, to be honest, the most common error individuals make when it comes to clothing fit is believing there is a uniform size standard. Try on clothes and snap photographs. Check that you can move about comfortably and that you can easily shut the garment. After some time has passed, you may go back and check the image to see whether you still like the item.
Every body is gorgeous and has the ability to look polished and elegant. It's just a matter of dressing for your body type and wearing the appropriate size.
Your wardrobe may reveal who you are, express what you believe in, and illuminate your outlook on life. The most important consideration is whether the clothing makes you feel good, cheerful, and confident. If it doesn't, the look isn't for you. When we dress to please others, the need to impress can overwhelm us and lead to a lack of self-confidence.
Looking professional is about having a wardrobe that suits you and makes you feel secure, not about brand names.
]]>So why are so many international bra size charts and conversion calculators wrong?
Bra size varies significantly between nations. The majority of countries utilise lettered cup sizes, however the letters represent different sizes. When you combine that with the fact that many individuals don't understand how bra sizes operate, and there are no precise, officially-documented industry standards for sizing, you're likely to have a few size calculators that make no sense at all.
These disparities are unlikely to improve very soon. Different nations evolved their own bra sizes long before the internet, and even if an organisation created an international bra size chart, businesses are unlikely to adopt it.
Bra size is relative, even with more uniformity than the rest of the fashion business. So figuring out your bra size in another nation isn't nearly as simple as memorising another country's shoe size chart.
After years of searching for faulty bra size conversion charts, I decided to create the simplest, most accurate international bra size chart conceivable.
Some things to keep in mind while using these charts:
With that stated, here are two useful foreign bra size guides to carry in your back pocket for the next time you go shopping abroad or try on a new brand.
]]>If you’re not sure why you need to start investing in quality lingerie, here are six reasons why:
While we're not suggesting that you should only buy expensive undergarments, there is no doubt that quality lingerie will last longer than its cheaper counterparts. If you want something that will get plenty of wear out of it then choose quality over quantity every time. The best kinds of lingerie are made from high-quality materials like silk, satin, and lace. These fabrics are known for their durability and ability to last through multiple washes without losing their shape or colour. Plus, they feel amazing against your skin (which is important if you're planning on wearing them). These types of materials are worth paying extra for since they won't lose their appeal after just one wash cycle like cheaper alternatives might do.
Most times, cheap bras tend to provide less support to the breasts and it doesn't exactly make for a flattering look when paired with our favourite summer dresses or tops! Investing in quality undergarments will ensure your clothes fit better and look better too!
Most lingerie brands use European sizing, which means they're more specific than American sizes. If a bra doesn't fit properly when you buy it, then chances are it never will. Buying a quality bra in the right size will save you time and money in the long run — not to mention discomfort!
Not only does high-quality lingerie last longer and fit better, but it also feels better against your skin because there's less friction between your undergarments and skin when they're made from silk or other soft fabrics instead of scratchy synthetics like polyester or nylon. The best lingerie is made with natural materials that are easy on the skin. Cotton is one of the best options, as it's breathable but still has a nice smooth texture. Silk can feel luxurious against your skin and wicks away moisture to keep you cool during hot summer nights.
Lingerie that fits properly makes you feel more confident, which can be especially important for women who are easily self-conscious about their bodies. Wearing the right size bra — one that fits correctly and doesn't dig in or pinch — will make you feel more comfortable in your own skin.
When it comes to comfortable lingerie, the way it's cut also matters. The seams should be invisible, especially at the bustline and around the bottom of your bra cups so that nothing shows through your clothes. The stitching should be minimal and ideally hidden within seams so that it doesn't show through light fabrics like cotton or linen.
Your skin will thank you for choosing lingerie with breathable fabric. For example, cheap bras can cause irritation like rashes, itching, redness etc. This is because they aren't made with breathable fabrics like lace and mesh that allow air flow between the body and fabric. Quality lingerie has breathable fabrics which prevent any skin irritation from occurring.
Cheap bras don't have the same quality as more expensive ones because they're produced at a higher volume than their counterparts. The fabrics used are poor quality, they don't fit properly and they don't last long either! So, when you buy a cheap bra, have it at the back of your mind that you’ll be spending more money in the long run because it will wear out quickly and you’ll need a replacement sooner than expected.
]]>Not everyone is born with an inbuilt sense of self-confidence. Sometimes it can be hard to develop confidence, either because of personal experiences have caused your confidence to decrease or because you suffer from low self-esteem.
Self-confidence is vital in almost every aspect of our lives, yet many people struggle to find it. Sadly, this can become a vicious cycle: people who lack self-confidence are less likely to achieve the success that could give them more confidence. Confident people inspire confidence in others: their audience, their co-workers, their bosses, their customers, and their friends. And gaining the confidence of others is one of the key ways to succeed.
There are a number of things you can do to build your confidence. Some of theme are just small changes to your frame of mind; others you’ll have to work on for a bit longer to make them familiar habits.
It’s easy to lose confidence if you believe you haven’t achieved anything. Make a list of all of the things you have to be proud of in your life. Whether it’s getting a good score academically, learning a new skill, or helping someone else. Keep the list close by and add to it whenever you do something you are proud of. When you’re low in confidence, pull out the list and remind yourself of all the things you’ve achieved so far…there is so many more things to come.
Set some goals and set out the steps you need to take to achieve them. They don’t have to be big goals; they can even be things like baking a cake or planning a night out with friends. Just aim for some small achievements that you can tick off a list to help you gain confidence in your ability to get stuff done.
Everyone has strengths and talents. What are yours? Recognising what you’re good at, and trying to build on those things, will help you to build confidence in your own abilities.
Try to find something that you’re really passionate about. It could be photography, sport, knitting or anything else! When you’ve worked out your passion, commit yourself to giving it a go. Chances are, if you’re interested or passionate about a certain activity, you’re more likely to be motivated and you’ll build skills more quickly.
]]>Since the invention of the sewing machine in the nineteenth century, sleepwear has gotten more opulent and diversified. We wore sleepsuits and onesies as new-borns then transitioned to pyjamas and nightgowns as children. This appears to be more important than a breathable t-shirt or apparel. Keeping warm at night is far more vital for parents with children, although adults may more easily judge their own body temperature and determine whether they need a few additional garments for bed. Perhaps, since central heating has made homes warmer, we are urged to wear a sexier nightgown or pair of pyjamas in bed? Nightclothes are obviously influenced by the weather, as well as our own particular style.
Nowadays, nightwear and loungewear are a popular comfortable blend, making it simple to strip off when we're ready to relax and remain in for the evening.
The days of nightgowns, dressing gowns, and nightcaps are long gone. Society no longer requires women to cover themselves as conservatively as they did in Victorian times. Women were persuaded to cover up their female contours with layers of garments in order to avoid potential debauchery. In the Middle Ages, men wore nightshirts that were identical to female tunics. This was a similar costume worn by both men and women in locations like Rome and Egypt for many years. Nightgowns and nightshirts were constructed from rectangular strips of white linen that were meant to absorb body sweat.
In the 1800s, women's nightwear design evolved, with ladies' nightdresses having a loose fit with little trimming. New fashions were introduced, including the V-neck, collars, cape styles, and pleated or puffed sleeves. Bodices were linked together with ribbons and frills, and the garments were embellished with beading and lace. Around 1890, silk in a variety of colours and printed designs became popular. As a result, ladies have something a little more opulent to pick from. Soon after, flannelette nightgowns appeared, providing a toasty alternative while yet retaining the feminine frills of lace and ribbons. Empire nightgowns looked to be the height of fashion at the time, followed by flimsy negligees made of silk, satin, and giving ladies a hotter look with see-through fabric. Many articles of nightwear began to resemble lingerie, and were created from the same enticing materials.
To summarise, The Luxe Nude in nightwear in the present day is mostly determined by personal preference. Women have a wide selection of outfits to pick from, whether they want something warm, something loose and comfortable, or a feminine and flattering negligee.
]]>Lingerie is conducive to generating that incredibly seductive vixen that hovers just beneath the surface of your exterior persona, whether you are single, in a relationship, or married for more years than you care to remember. The moment a woman slips into a pair of soft, silky panties or a short thong, she is instantly changed into a new woman.
Women nurture their skin with exfoliants and emollients. So why not nurture her complete character with underwires and garter belts, urging her to claim the confidence in her body? Women yearn for the chance to discover someone to love, someone who loves them for them, and that elusive “happily ever after” depicted in nearly every romance novel.
Indeed, it all comes down to how lingerie makes a lady feel. Wearing lingerie is about more than simply improving our physical attractiveness. Wearing underwear is so much more than that nowadays. Women's underwear has an enduring and instant attraction, from lovely in gentle pastels to provocative in flaming scarlet. Have you ever fell in love with a stunning lingerie set only to discover that it is out of your price range?
Lingerie, on the other hand, has finally ascended the ladder to the very top of the single most significant article of clothing that a woman wears. Women no longer have to be concerned about what their mums might think if they only knew how sheer the pants they are wearing. Women no longer have to be concerned about paying a high price for a small amount of cloth.
Instead, women nourish their souls and inner beauty with lingerie that has progressed far beyond the tightly fitting corsets that concealed a woman's features or the stiff metal contraptions and inflexible bone outfits that flattened and deformed a woman's actual attributes. Women nowadays choose scant articles of clothing that leave nothing to the imagination, or at least practically nothing, to produce that inside glow while increasing their exterior beauty.
It makes no difference if their lingerie drawer is organised by colour, usefulness, or fabric. It doesn't even matter if it isn't organised at all. What important is that women have lingerie in their closets at all.
]]>When you start noticing a considerable gap between your bra cups and your breasts, it's a clear indication that either the cups have lost their shape or your breast volume has decreased, possibly due to weight loss. This lack of support leads to the bra's shape being visible through your clothing, rather than providing a smooth and flattering silhouette.
One of the most noticeable signs that your bra needs replacing is when the straps continually slip off your shoulders, requiring frequent readjustment. The straps play a crucial role in supporting the weight of your breasts by connecting the cup to the back of the bra. If they fail to stay in place, it's time to consider a new bra.
Dealing with an underwire that protrudes and digs into your skin can be quite uncomfortable. Even if you attempt to push it back in or sew the area, chances are it will pop out again. This could be a sign that either the band has become too tight or the bra has experienced significant wear and tear. Don't hesitate to invest in a new bra if you've been contemplating it.
If you start noticing small elastic threads sticking out of your bra, it's a clear indication that your bra has reached the end of its life. These threads suggest that the elastic within the bra has deteriorated, compromising its support and structure. While our bras at TLN are designed using high-quality sustainable fabrics to avoid such issues, if you notice this in other non-TLN products, it's a sign that the elastic has worn out.
Every bra has a limited shelf life, and depending on the frequency and type of washing, the fabric may gradually degrade. To prolong the life of your bras, we always recommend hand washing delicate pieces, such as our Intimates, or using an underwear care bag on a gentle wash cycle. However, if you notice the fabric peeling off or becoming excessively strained, it's a definite sign that it's time to replace your bra.
A well-fitted bra should have a band that sits comfortably and snugly around your torso. If you find that the band is constantly riding up your back, it's a sign that the bra has lost its elasticity and is no longer providing the necessary support. A new bra with a properly fitting band is in order.
As time goes by, your body may change in various ways, such as weight fluctuations or changes in breast size. If your current bra no longer feels comfortable, causes discomfort, or leaves red marks on your skin, it's a clear indication that you need to find a new bra size that provides a better fit and support.
The hooks on the back of your bra are essential for adjusting the band to achieve the right fit. If you notice that the hooks are damaged, bent, or no longer fasten securely, it's a sign that your bra has seen better days and it's time for a replacement.
Bras, especially those worn frequently, can lose their vibrant colour over time. If you notice significant fading or discoloration that doesn't improve with washing, it's an aesthetic sign that your bra is past its prime and could use an upgrade.
While functional signs are important indicators for replacing your bra, your personal taste and style preferences can also play a role. If you've had the same bras for a while and feel that your style has evolved or you desire something more elegant and fashionable, it's a perfect opportunity to treat yourself to some new TLN lingerie that reflects your current aesthetic.
Remember, investing in a well-fitted, supportive, and comfortable bra is crucial for your overall comfort and confidence. By recognizing these ten signs, you'll be able to determine when it's time to replace your bra and find the perfect one that meets your needs and style preferences.

According to the science of attraction, the ideal waist-to-hip ratio is 0.7, resulting in the ideal hourglass figure. In reality, only 8% of women have an hourglass figure, with the majority of women (46%) having a rectangle body shape. So the "ideal" may be out of reach for most women, leaving us at The Luxe Nude to wonder if this is a vanity ratio rather than a true science ratio.
A banana or rectangle body shape is one in which a woman's waist is less than nine inches smaller than her hips and bust, and her hips and bust are close in size.
You have a slight curve defining your waistline, which you can emphasise with high-waisted jeans or a bulging neckline.
The apple body shape is defined by a woman's waist measurement of 0.8 or higher, with your waist measurement being larger than your hips and bust. This body type isn't as common as you might think (you may actually fit in pear or strawberry instead).
Your shoulders are wider than your hips, and you have a belly because you carry the majority of your weight around your middle, and you can't seem to get a flat stomach no matter how hard you try. Try high-waisted briefs to define your waistline and a lovely full cup or balconette bra to lift your breasts to accentuate your figure.
The pear, also known as the spoon, is the second most common body shape, accounting for 21% of all females. The hips define the waist ratio in this way. If your hips are 2 inches or more larger than your bust and your waist is smaller than your bust, you have a pear shape. Wear a pair of high-waisted boy shorts or thongs to show off your glorious bottom and own your wiggle, and pair it with a full-lace or push-up bra to highlight your breasts. To flex that behind, you could also try a body with a high leg and thong back.
The strawberry, also known as the inverted triangle, occurs when your chest is wider than your waist and hips by 3.6 inches or more. While you may feel top heavy, you can enhance your figure by drawing attention to your hips and waistline with accents and accessories. Wear a bralette with high-waisted briefs with cut-outs on the sides. Purchase an asymmetrical body with high legs to make your shoulders look smaller and your hips appear larger.
The hourglass figure is the ideal, yet rarest, body type, with a balanced form and a waistline that is 9 inches smaller than the bust and hips. If you are fortunate to have this fantastic figure, you are aware that plus size clothing can easily detract from your smaller waistline and make you appear larger in that area. The same is true for lingerie. The wrong bra shape or brief cut can draw attention away from your waist. Try these complementary looks to help you feel more in control of your body. Wearing a long-line bra with high-waisted thongs or briefs that match can help you show off your small waistline. Alternatively, try a teddy that pulls in at the waist and has a loose French knicker finish at the body.

]]>In both pregnancy and motherhood, you experience incredible highs and devastating lows. The most difficult aspect of being a mother is discovering that your sense of autonomy has never truly returned to pre-pregnancy levels.
The media promotes getting back to pre-baby weight, constantly bombarding you with "how to be a better mother," and you see fathers doing the bare minimum and receiving praise while you don't feel you can rest. Your self-esteem plummets, and mum-guilt follows you around like a shadow.
We have two mothers on our team who have had the experience of motherhood and are learning how to be confident in themselves. Here's a list of their not-so-secret tips for regaining your confidence as a mother.
When you're a mother, it's easy to put your own needs last. It's possible that you're so preoccupied with getting your children ready for school that you just throw your hair up in a wrap or a bun, put on some clothes, and go about your business.
Making time for yourself, on the other hand, is critical. The adage "look good, feel good" has a lot of truth to it. Even 5 minutes spent on a skincare routine and brushing your teeth can make a big difference in your mood. It will make you feel refreshed and ready for the day.
If you're having trouble fitting everything in in the mornings, try taking a long bath or a warm shower before bed when the kids are asleep.
What we wear can influence how we perceive ourselves and how we act. As women, motherhood can cause us to lose our fashion sense. Long sleepless nights with babies and toddlers, attempting to keep up with housework, and hectic mornings just trying to get out of the house are to blame. If you want to be confident, avoid wearing clothes that are only “appropriate” for mothers or outfits that are “appropriate” for your age. Wear whatever you want as long as it makes you happy. You should also treat yourself to some new lingerie or a new outfit from your favourite store because you deserve it after all of your hard work.
There are gurus upon gurus who promote various parenting methods while constantly telling you what you're doing wrong. As a mother, you may feel bombarded with information, and you may begin to feel ashamed of how you raise your children unless you do it in a certain way. But keep in mind that just because you're doing your best with what you've got doesn't mean it's wrong. You know your child better than most, and there is no one-size-fits-all parenting style. Each child is wonderfully unique, and each may require a different parenting style in order to thrive.
Motherhood can be extremely isolating. Most of the time, the only other person you have to talk to on a daily basis is a young child, and while they are amusing and entertaining, conversations with them do not provide you with the mental stimulation that you require as an adult. Talking to yourself aloud allows you to hear an adult voice, have creative thoughts, and reduces the feeling of loneliness.
We're all guilty of it. We see mothers doing amazing things, and their children may appear to be far ahead of our own. They might have all the latest gadgets or appear unfazed by situations that make you nervous. But here's the thing: every single mother is a nervous wreck battling guilt, and those around you are probably looking at you and feeling inadequate as well. Embrace your individuality, and if you see a mother doing an amazing job, tell her, 'Well done, you're doing an amazing job,' because she probably hasn't heard it and needs to hear it.
Attend a parent group in your area if one exists. It's essential for your mental health. Our marketing assistant, a single mother, struggled to leave the house due to postnatal depression and spent many days staring at the door, contemplating going to her local parenting group. Her depression and anxiety worsened during those days because she didn't have the active support she required and felt lost in her newfound role as a mother. When she finally went, she made two new friends and the community around her grew. Having friends who are also parents can help you grow as a person by providing support you didn't realise you needed.

As a fashion brand that stands up for women’s rights and drives to give a voice to issues facing women today, we also believe we need to spread the word about the achievements of women as well as turning points in history that gave women a growing voice in society.
While society rules and structures have changed over time, women and marginalised groups are still suffering under the rule of the patriarchal systems in place that create intersectionality to keep us divided.
As it is Women’s History Month, here are ten moments in history that you should know about.
In the early 1840s, Lovelace helped Charles Babbage translate an article from French to English to aid an idea of his, a digital computer that he dubbed an Analytical Engine. Lovelace, however, did much more. She added her own extensive notes and wrote an algorithm for the Analytical Engine to compute Bernoulli numbers. Whilst how much of the concept was her work versus Babbage, it is agreed that she was the one who recognized that the concept could be more than a calculator and is credited with the movement from calculation to computation.
After her father, brother, and her husband died, she decided to use her inheritance to make a positive impact on her community. In 859CE, al-Fihri funded the construction of the Al Qarawiyyin mosque and adjoining madrasa, which became a locus of scholarly and religious activity. Beyond overseeing the extensive project, she also attended and graduated form the university, which would have Muslim, Catholic, and Jewish students. Today, the University of Al Qarawiyyin is the world's oldest continually operating, degree-granting university, and visitors can see al-Fihri's wooden diploma in the school's library.
While hairbrushes have been around in different forms for as long as civilization. Lyda D. Newman revolutionised the hairbrush in 1898 with the first synthetic hairbrush. Her innovation allowed for easier access to bristles in order to clean out the crush and introduced the world to synthetic bristles. This creation made bruising long hair a much more hygienic process.
Though Elizabeth I gets all the films and TV shows due to her long and powerful reign of England, it was actually her half-sister Mary who was crowned the first Queen of England in 1553. Considering that the unification of England happened around 927, meaning it took 626 years for the country of England to have its first Queen which is a much longer period of time between our modern day and her era. Though it was achieved by birth rate, it is still a defining moment in women’s history.
Yaa Asantewa led the Ashanti in a war against British Colonisation between 1900 and 1901. She challenged the British call of complete domination of the Ashanti confederacy and demanded the rental of King Asantehene Prempeh I when many others considered surrendering. Though she was defeated and exiled to the Seychelles, her bravery and military fortitude exemplified the uniqueness of female leadership and inspired from generations of Ghanians in the long fight for independence.
Following the assination of her husband in 1959 she entered the political field and became the leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP). In 1960, Bandaranaike’s party won the general election in Ceylon, now known as Sri Lanka, she became the world’s first female prime minister. Though voted out in 1965, she returned to the office two more times and helped create a political dynasty.
A former actress, Raymonde de Laroche was inspired to track up flying after seeing the Wright Brothers’ flight demonstrations in 1907 in France. Though she was not the first female aviator, de Laroche was the first woman to earn a pilot’s licence in 1910. Helping to lead the way for more women to become pilots today.
At the very first Grammy Awards in 1958, Ella Fitzgerald, known as the “First Lady of Song” was awarded two Grammys, making her the first woman to win two and the first African American to win at all. In 1961, Judy Garland made more Grammy history by becoming the first woman to win Album of the Year. Astrud Gilberto: first woman to win Record of the Year in 1964 for “The Girl From Ipanema,” an honour she shared with Stan Getz. Carole King: first woman to win Song of the Year and Record of the Year, solo, for “It’s Too Late” in 1971.
Junko Tabei stood just 5-feet tall and weighed only 92 pounds, but her diminutive size was matched by enormous fortitude, bravery, and stamina. In 1975, she co-led a group of 15 women to the summit of Mt. Everest, becoming the first female ever to reach the peak. She would eventually ascend the highest summit on every continent.
Born in Barcelona in 1594, Juliana Morell was so brilliant that by the age of four, her teachers informed her father they had nothing left to teach her. In 1608, she became the first female ever to earn a doctorate degree, a Law doctorate, and was also the first woman to earn any type of university degree.

It's one day a year when we honour all women and call attention to the important contributions women have made to the world, as well as the harsh realities that women still face today.
]]>“To celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, but also to mark a call to action for accelerating gender parity”
Lingerie is a feminist, LGBTQ+ and race issue. It might seem odd to be calling the whole industry out on this, but it’s true. Lingerie has been designed, crafted, and marketed for a long time through the male gaze. This isn’t surprising considering most CEOs and founders of fashion houses are men; cis white men at that.
Lace, silk, satin and all those luxury fabrics are ones everyone should be able to enjoy without judgement, and you should be able to relate to the brand beyond whether they make you LOOK sexy.
Feminism is all about breaking the boundaries that restrict women and men through the harsh gender norms surrounding femininity and masculinity. It’s also about breaking the stereotypes about female sexuality, which is usually based on how they please men rather than educating about female pleasure and the enjoyment of mutual pleasure.
Lingerie is a huge market that could be targeted towards women, their sensuality, inner power, and building their confidence. Instead, lingerie is often marketed on their partner’s preference and not on the individual's enjoyment of the garment.
We’ve had so many comments about our size range with women swearing up and down that their bra sizing is a strict size. Whilst we are working on increasing our size range, we wanted to blow the cobwebs off this hidden truth.
There is no perfect fit across brands. Sizing of your bra depends on how it is made, the fabric, the cut, and so many things. Whilst you can use fit-at-home methods to find your size like this:
@madisonxalexandra Measuring #brasize at home - Pt 1 🍒| #cupsize #brafitting ♬ Monkeys Spinning Monkeys - Kevin MacLeod & Kevin The Monkey
Very often, you can also find “sister sizes” that will also fit you perfectly well. Sister sizes are bras that have the same cup volume whilst the band number and cup type are different on the label. For example; let’s say your usual size is 40E and it’s out of stock, you could try a 38F or 42DD as the cup is made from the size pattern as your usual one. The only difference is that the bands have different lengths. As the bra will have three rows of hooks and eyes on the end of the band, it can often work on the tightest if you size up or on the loosest or with a bra extender if you size down.
There were so many articles out decades ago about whether bras were good for you or not. Some articles claimed that wearing a bra meant your breasts were more likely to sag, whilst others claimed they prevented sagging. The truth is, wearing a bra doesn’t affect your breast health. As long as the bra is probably fitted, and isn't causing surface damage to your skin then it’s just down to comfort. So, whether you like to wear a bra or let your boobs fly free, it’s purely down to your comfort and preference
As a small business that is striving to be size-inclusive, we’ve noticed the modelling industry doesn’t reflect this. Trying to find a model that is larger than a size 18-20 is almost impossible with modelling agencies. In some cases, many “plus-size” models you see modelling larger sizes aren’t plus-size in real life!

It’s one of the reasons more and more fashion brands are leaning on real women and fashion influencers for plus size models. For a small business with limited resources, it can be a huge struggle to truly represent the customers we want to cater to.
Most lingerie these days is made in sweatshop factories in China, India, and Pakistan. The garment makers are paid very little and work extremely long hours. Due to their mass production, the items are not made to be long lasting. The underwire casing in your bra may give out after a couple of months, and the stitching of your underwear will start to unravel.
This is where paying more with ethical brands that are either British-made or European-made will benefit you and the garment makers. This is because most European countries have laws in place to protect workers, have a set minimum wage, and better work conditions. You are guaranteed to know that your items have a healthier production history.
]]>Well, we are here to give you several reasons why it is an important part of the UK and global history, because we believe it is something we should all know and learn from.
Whilst we have taken leaps in LGBTQ+ rights in the past decade, there are still many places in the world that criminalise “private, consensual, same-sex sexual activity”, according to Human Dignity Trust. The Forbes magazine stated in Nov 2021 that 375 transgender people were murder in that year alone, making it the “deadliest year” since records began, with “Nine in ten (96%) of those murdered globally were trans women or transfeminine people”. We need to keep fighting for equal rights and holding events that teach people about LGBTQ+ issues.
The spectrum of sexuality is not a new phenomena, LGBTQ+ identities are as old as human existence and have been known by many different names in many cultures around the world. But history books tend to do one of three things; barely mention, completely ignore, or deliberately erase LGBTQ+ people’s existence and contributions. For example, did you know the war poet Wilfred Owen was gay? Or that there were black lesbian blues singers in the 20s and 30s such as Gladys Bentley?
There are so many scientists, politicians, poets, doctors and more who’s sexual identity was either ignored, criminalised, or erased from our history to fit a homophobic agenda.
The decriminalisation of homosexuality only happened in the UK in 1967, which is recent enough to still be in the minds and lifetime of many UK citizens. The fight to get there was extremely hard both physically and mentally, and the path to full equality is still going on to this day.
